On Saturday, 25 November 2017 at the College of North Atlantic-Qatar, Justin Kernot presented and explored the reasons for some students’ difficulties with listening tasks. He demonstrated exercises and activities which can help to reduce the ‘block’ that learners can have towards listening tasks.  He promoted active participation from workshop attendees, ensuring ensure a first-hand understanding of how these activities can effectively reduce the anxiety listening tasks sometimes cause for learners. There was an opportunity for attendees to evaluate the tasks and explore how they might be used or adapted for different learning contexts and different levels of language proficiency.
