On Saturday, 24 November 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Qatar University Library Building (B13), Wendy Brendzy, Caitlin Farinelli and Phillip Wren will present the following workshops:

“Using OneNote in Various Classrooms”
This workshop will show attendees how OneNote can be used in different EFL and writing classrooms to share ideas with students, allow them to collaborate with each other, and submit writing assignments. Attendees will also get some tips for digital feedback and classroom activities using OneNote.
Wendy Brendzy, College of the North Atlantic – Qatar
“Online Classroom Tools and Review Games”
This workshop will provide attendees with some quick online tools to spice up their routine classroom tasks like selecting students and making groups. In addition, attendees will sample some online review games with templates that can be amended to suit their own materials.
Wendy is an EFL instructor at the College of North Atlantic-Qatar. Her educational background includes a Master of Education in Teaching English as an Additional Language from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests include learner identity and the ethic of caring in the classroom.
Caitlin teaches in the Foundation Program at Qatar University in Doha, Qatar. She holds an MA in TESOL and an MA in Linguistics from Florida Atlantic University. Her research interests include variables that affect acquisition of ESL/EFL along with pedagogical implications.
Phillip has taught in five countries, beginning as a Peace Corps Volunteer and currently teaching at Qatar University. He strives for fun, engaging, and meaningful classroom interactions.
Non-members and members are welcome to attend this interactive workshop.
